Commission: '11 Toyota Corolla CE

a commission i did for a friend of mine who owns a E140 Toyota Corolla CE and he asked me how would it look like with a set of Toyota Venza 5 spoke wheels. so i volunteered on doing it and we agreed.

ok, onto the car itself. being given a ride in it a couple of times, i can say its nothing to rave about. its just your regular point-a-to-point-b-appliance kind of car( i'm being honest here ) albeit the side airbags are a nice touch. at least its a looker, i can honestly say the Toyota Corolla was a better looking car than a performer compared to its Civic, Elantra, Focus and Cruze rivals. but, it does what it does best and its being a proven,reliable daily driver.

i've decided to change some things on this one, nothing big. the headlights themselves are one of those changes. they're projectors and the blue ones are basically fog lights with blue Xenon lighting to give it a better sight on night drives. the wheels themselves are practically out of the Venza crossover and i have to admit they look just right on it. the Intercooler is an added touch i gave to it since its hooked up to a Turbocharger kit for the 1.8 liter engine. the brakes are red brembos on all 4 wheels (a huge improvement over the Corolla's stock drum brakes in the back) and the tires are Yokohama Advan A10's for better grip.

on and all, the car was a piece to work with, i practically went through 20 pages and multiple pictures until i ran across the perfect one. how much did i charge him? 5 bucks, since i had to make my work accessible.

somehow, i should charge people a bit more, but knowing my art skill, let's say its pretty shit compared to others. i used a couple of markers, a pen, a combination of 4B,6B and 2B Graphite pencils to color it and a lot of work regarding the shading with a plastic eraser.
